Company: teambuilding.com

Role: CEO

Expertise: Virtual Team Building, Employee Engagement, Leadership.

Education: University of Guelph, University of British Columbia.

In 2008 I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce. I spent that summer travelling and working in China, learning the language and eating a lot of dumplings.

The next three years were dedicated to earning a law degree at the University of British Columbia. I chose courses in Business Law. On the side, I started working as a freelance marketer. Gradually I started hiring and managing a small team of remote workers.

After law school, I passed the bar and became a practicing lawyer in Ontario. Soon after, I returned to marketing and continued to work with my team, developing skills in managing remote writers, designers, developers and more.

Now, as CEO of teambuilding.com I lead a team of 80+ incredible team members, including managers, marketers, client advisors, VIP associates, creatives, event hosts and more.

“One of the biggest wins you can have as a manager and leader is giving your people more than they ask for.”

I’ve been interviewed about remote employee engagement by The Economist, The Washington Post and Arival. You will find my work cited in hundreds of media outlets, including the New York Times, Fast Company and more.
